Week 9
What a short week! A few reminders, students need to bring in their $15 chore money for Harris Hillman!! We have only had a few students bring in money. Students have made decisions about what they want to wear when they perform. It will be a casual dress that day. We also had two high school seniors stop by to talk about Harris Hillman and what we will be doing with them. Next Friday we get to dress up for Halloween. Please refer to Mr. Noden’s email about the rules of what they can wear. We are so excited to celebrate with fun treats!
We have had a busy week in math and science! 4R and 4W needed to wrap up their lessons on multiplication and patterns with sound. Students took their quiz today and some will finish up on Monday. Next week we will begin division. Unit 3 in math is long so I will make sure we keep reviewing multiplication while we go over our concepts of division. Next week in science we will be learning about how sound travels.

This week we focused hard on our Diary of a Pig/Spider projects! The kids wrote rough drafts, made edits and revisions, and completed final drafts/illustrations over the first 12 chapters of the book! I am so proud of their focus, writing stamina, and enthusiasm during this project! Final versions will be sent home in the coming weeks.
We will begin regions and a new novel next week.
